Breaking the rules

I know I said this is for Non-work stuff...........but it's my blog so too bad:P
Finally after like 5 months my baseball cards are out!!! WOOOT!
I designed the Topps Stars and the 2008 Stadium patch cards for the 2008 Topps Baseball card set.

heres the 3 designs i did for the topps cards: the third one being the one they picked.









and here' the final product (i grabbed this pic from Ebay, i actually got 2 of the cards from work, so hopefully i'll stop being lazy and take some better photos of it)




and here's a bad review from "Cardboard Junkie" he reviews all the trading cards and had this to say "Once again there are two inserts in the pack. The Topps Stars card is shiny and glowy and gold and boring. It's a nice card but not my thing."

....awesome. good to see the fans dig my card design:P

Helping out a friend

So my friend Beckett called me up today. He was swamped with work and needed my help to meet his deadlines.

He needed a poster for a company that was gonna use it for.....i really don't know i stopped paying attention when he said he needed help and threw money at me:P

only catch was he needed it in 2 hours. so here it is.

Finally! new art!

so i've been getting rocked at work, and it's really been a chore to do my own stuff.
but i finally threw some inks and colors on the star wars pic so here it is.

Drawing on the train..........is rough ><

So a couple of my friends have taken to drawing on the train,
so i decided to give it a try. The fat lady bumping my elbow and
the haggard shakes and turns of the train doesn't really make for
good pieces........plus the next time i decide to draw on the train

i might wanna bring my sketch book and not rely on the scraps of paper
in my backpack:P

KT Saturday

Well, no new pics this weekend.
But I figured i'd post something so here's some pics from the
KT Saturday (aka me hanging with my kid day)
This saturday we went up to my old school ala The Joe Kubert School
and paid a visit to my friend Ben Dale who teaches there every Sat.
It was fun, Ben and KT really hit it off.

Ben even gave her a stuffed gorilla that she now calls "Ben"

oh and the Iron Man movie RULES!!!! Thx Brian, Brian, and Steve it was an awsome time!
........even though Steve didn't get the after the credit thing and how cool that was
